Tes Richard

Do not come back to my house.

My sister was so angry that instead of asking my parents to buy her a mopping bucket and a rug to take to school, she quietly took my mother’s and went. My father never stopped laughing about this incident.

Home is where the heart is

On a good day, I would help my dad to milk the cows. He would help me by restraining the cow in the milking shed and I would get busy milking.

      What will you become?

Every time you were about to do something stupid or play about with your studies, thinking about my dad was enough to shape you up. My father valued education and the only way any of us was going to enjoy a quiet and peaceful holiday was by performing well. One time I scored a mean score of… Read More »What will you become?

Does Violence Have a Name? How About a Face?

Does violence have a name? No? Okay, how about a face? I am half awake and from a distance, I can hear a female voice talking. I am not sure what she is saying but even if I am half asleep, I can tell that she is angry. First, I feel convinced that she is in the company of another lady. Perhaps they are leaving a house party and they are as high as kites. I am also certain that they are at… Read More »Does Violence Have a Name? How About a Face?
